You do not need to have read the first book before jumping into this one though they are sequenced chronologically

For those who are reading this series in order this second book of the series might seem different from the first but ultimately it isn’t and the similarities become more and more obvious as the book progresses

This installment has a bit of mystery and both have a smidgen of what i’d describe as near future science fiction with a mild dystopian leaning thrown into the mix
