Pros

Michael dirda's excellent preface is worth half the price of the book. The binding is fantastic, the gold trim pages are of good quality and look fantastic. This is one of them, but i forgot there are 5-6 books to really fully tell this story.

The original trilogy was written in the early 1950s, but it is not dated by any means. It keeps me entertained and makes it ride go much faster. My favorite bood in the world. A true masterpiece.

Asimov is a fantastic writer. Classic, intelligent, thoughtful, far sighted. Asimov writes plainly and clearly. This hardcover edition appropriately has a photo of a young asimov.

Psycho-historian hari seldon comes up with a mathematical psychohistory for predicting the future of society. As a kind of statistical mechanics for humanity, it seems like history from below.

Cons
