The massive collider is an edifice glorifying science and its amazing beauty. Science is awesome. Coherent alternative to the antiscience rhetoric so prevalent in our culture today.
I understood most things, and vivid enough that i appreciated everything. But considering the complexity of the concepts he is describing, this is to be expected. But it's absolutely worth the effort.
Cons
It would be a disservice to yourself or your children to waste time on this book. The * arrogance, condescension, and spitefulness which the author treats faith is both disgusting and insulting. Thirdly this book is horribly written.
No one ever needs to get a brain cramp to understand christ. Mister krauss doesn't, however. Krauss pushes his atheistic religion and anti-christian beliefs repeatedly.
Frequently concepts and terms are just plopped in the reader's lap with no supporting explanation. Krauss's explanations of those theories omit simple explanations in favor of more esoteric, tangential explanations. It assumes that the lay person unde... Read More

It was great information and welltold but the second half of the book is about so many things we cant observe and are working to understand that my interest didnt remain as excitedly engaged as it did during a universe from nothing and even the first half of this book
