Pros & Cons
Pros
The cord swivels so you can switch hands. The led that illuminates the bowl is great, as is the pause feature for the timer. High power is truly useful in meringues.
The breville hand mixer is my favorite kitchen purchase of recent years. The designers and engineers make their kitchen appliances move to my house to make my kitchen a delight to work in. This breville mixer is beautifully constructed.
Cons
Stay away from this and kitchenaid. The mixer itself is very heavy and somewhat clunky. It overheats easily, the tips of the beaters that go into the mixer come out hot and almost burned me because i wasn't prepared for that. The motor boggs down when... Read More
Batter splattered everywhere in the kitchen, including on the floor. Since the rubber deteriorates into the food (known issue for years), it's dangerous to have plastic pieces coming off in food. A little noise is much better than a little rubber in m... Read More
This is the 2nd breville appliance that i have purchased that did not work as expected. This design is ridiculously *! On the breville mixer all the attachments wobble as it spins. This is a flaw with product that breville should address.
The scraper beater beaters are awful!
Arrived bent (middle one). The agent was getting assisted but, only reiterated the warranty specifying a replacement. When is turned on, the arm turns but the twisted part does not turn.
Highlights
Quality
Really well made and works like a charm.
Very easy to use, powerful, not too heavy but still robust, controls are logical and responsive, all of the beaters are well-designed.
I have had it now for just over 6 months and the scraper parts of the beater have torn and ripped apart.
However -- like many other people have mentioned the scraper beaters are not very durable at all.
Price
I’ve always bought inexpensive handmixers i took a chance on this one i was pleasantly surprised it’s worth the money
Paying $130 for a hand mixer is absurd, but this little gem is worth every penny.
Then, the replacement beaters are about $22.
Shipping
We would buy again and will consider other breville items when the need arrives (and so should you)!
My order was received right on time as promised.
Reached out to breville customer service and they were very prompt in sending a replacement set.
Packaging/appearance
Just unpacked it and used it for the first time to make gingerbread cookie dough.

I've tried lots of brands, including cuisinart and kitchenaid, but this hand mixer blows them all away.

The slow start is also very good but i have to say i like the cuisinart’s slow start better

They split immediately and of course there’s cookie dough inside that can’t be cleaned effectively… which means i now have to take time out from my super busy holiday baking schedule to remove the silicone

And if you can’t do that then at least give us an option to replace them with normal ones

Mixer is great but after eight months the rubber scrapper on the beaters started coming off

I requested if they had beaters without the scraper that would fit my mixer i would rather have them but they said they didnt

From the other reviews this looks like a common problem so not sure why breville has not been a recall on the beaters

I bought this to make holiday cookies and it has more than passed the test
