Pros & Cons
Pros
The omnibus includes three novels and a novella. Each book is it's own story, with a different protagonist and (mostly) new side-characters. Great series if you love fantasy, medival settings and love! I am a convert when the books are this big!
These are people you love, hate and get annoyed by. It all feels authentic and true. They weave words that build worlds and pull you into them. Incredibly well crafted.
It's really hard to say enough about how fantastic the inheritance trilogy is without spoiling it. At times dark the stories are ultimately uplifting and a joy to read. Completely unexpected plot-twists, excellent and natural antagonists.
Cons
The first book is an angsty mess. The pantheon of gods and demons, although interesting at first, becomes repetitive. I just got bored.
I'm just not a fan of books where the protagonist doesn't have any real agency and is just along for the ride. The whole dynamic reeked of christian and anastasia from 50 shades.
Highlights
Quality
I also appreciate the deep dives into non-traditional main characters as well & the complexity that provides.
The worldbuilding is top-notch, unique, and immersive.
The inheritance trilogy made me laugh, cry, think like i've not done in a long time.
Never do the characters emotions feel out of place or forced.
Price
I chose the single binded version because it was cheaper and had a bonus novella included.
Shipping
I got these books on june 10th and devoured them by july 20th.

Each book in the series was better than its predecessor.
I found these books compelling, but not as good as her "broken earth" trilogy, which i read first.
