There are just short of 3 million reader ratings on goodreads. Great book, keeps the reader intrigued to the point you don’t want to stop reading. It also has enough depth that students can start to explore more intricate aspects of reading.

It is a fun story that educates without being obvious. The action is dangerous enough for kids to get a thrill from it. But that task proves to be much harder and complicated than meets the eye.

Percy is attacked by a mythological figure in the middle of a tourist attraction without there being more of a ruckus about the supernatural nature of the attack. The plot twists are pretty predictable.
