While there is plenty of wellresearch stats and information throughout the book the mic drop are these poignant snapshots of todays family as told by the couples and individuals themselves

Its amazing that theyre not professional voice actors because theyre definitely do not sound like theyre just reading off the printed page

The author herself doesnt hold back in talking about her own choice to have a child as a single mother

While it was difficult to hear the authors own brutal firsthand account that courageously dispels the rainbows unicorn depiction of being a firsttime mother the book also provides hope that we can begin more honest and vulnerable dialogue about the emotions that both sexes have to face in this confusing landscape of old values and new needs
