Many of the other recipes are just a slightly newer and occasionally healthier take on things that ive already made in the past like sweet potato hash sausage with kale and beans etc

Recipes like perfect scrambled eggs and foolproof baked brown rice and things like slow roasted beef or perfect pot roast dont seem to offer enough fresh ideas to warrant inclusion in a big cookbook with lots of pictures like this

I think part of the reason i dont reach for this cookbook more is that i dont have a clear idea in my head of what im in a find when i pick it up

Its not quick things that i make for dinner although some of those things are included its not something i would sit down and read to relearn all of the basics in a new and fresh way though it has some of that and its not something with new and groundbreaking ideas that will bend my brain and inspire me though it has some of that also

This amalgamation of many different kinds of recipes seems like a great idea in theory until it is on your bookshelf and you are trying to choose from 50 cookbooks to find something to make tonight at which time you realize that the format is just a little too scattered to make for easy use
