I love ordering books through amazon kindle because you receive them immediately without any problems. Worth the re-read a download for anyone of any reading level. Beautifully rendered, it is perfect for reading on your kindle.
The classic poem is everything it's billed as, fantastic. There’s a lyrical beauty to it, despite its hopelessness as the narrator descends into madness.

Poem by gustave doré. The pit and the pendulum. The illustrated version lends a slower, more thoughtful pondering of the poem.
Poe’s descriptive use of works just captures the imagination and really brings out the * this man was feeling. All while goading the reader to ponder the heart wrenching emptiness and finality of death.

It didn’t really do much for me at the time beyond leaving me slightly disturbed but i recently found a free kindle edition of poe’s bestknown work the raven on amazon complete with the original woodcut illustrations by gustave dore

The only catch really is that stopping to view all those deliciously spooky works of art is a bit of a distraction from the natural flow of the poem itself

Just for starters both of his parents passed away when he was quite young and even though he and his sister were adopted by separate families and raised affectionately his foster father john allan ended up shunning him just before he too died leaving poe absolutely nothing
