Pros

The danger is still here but not in germany but here in america.

William shirer's book is one of the most thoroughly researched and authoritative histories of the last 60 years. This book is a very sober reminder that history does in fact repeat itself.

Cons

The prose is simply dull and tedious. Writing off atrocities as such does not help prevent similar atrocities from happening in the future.

The kindle version of this book is a mess! I have the audible version and the two do not sync properly. Still missing 16 pages.

This edition has been abridged and is missing 16 pages. And this thing is just as repetitive as i remember. Save yourself the agony of this.
