Pros & Cons
Pros
The breville brand never disappoints when it comes to quality and performance. My espresso machine is so happy now that i've dumped my subpar grinder for this breville gem.
Small portafilter cradle is a game-changer. Built in catch tray and other accessories make it an enticing bundle.
The burr grinder is quiet, attractive and digital. Although it's a bit louder than expected, the quality of the grind makes up for it. There are a few areas that could be improved, such as the loudness of the grinder.
The intuitive interface and clear digital display make it incredibly easy to use. It's easy to operate and clean, making my morning coffee routine a breeze.
The brushed stainless steel design adds a touch of elegance to my kitchen countertop, making it a standout appliance. It fits perfectly under our cabinets, saving valuable countertop space. The gold tone filter basket is a stylish touch that i didn't ... Read More
Cons
At three years the grinder is pretty much unusable and cannot really grind coffee. Lasted for 2 years with once per day usage. Eight months is an unacceptable lifetime for a grinder of this price point.
Highlights
Quality
Nice features and consistent grind for 3+ years.
The range of grind settings is impressive, allowing me to achieve the perfect grind consistency for various brewing methods.
It is not even very messy and the neat removable tray underneath you can quickly tap off any excess grinds.
At about the three year point, my espresso shots started going all over the map, from completely stuck to way too fast.
Price
Lastly, the price point might seem a bit high, but trust me, it's worth every penny for the quality it delivers.
And is hard to beat the cost of doing it yourself at home.
At $7 a pop, plus a $5 bacon, gouda and egg, to go with, we are saving $12 a day!
Guys- if you want espresso which tastes like it came out of a $1k italian machine, you need this grinder.
Competitiveness
Works much better than my setti 30 which was twice the price.
After a disappointing experience with the cuisinart burr grinder, which produced uneven results despite its lower price, we mad... Read More
Every other grinder including the expensive gaggia one that i splurged on makes a giant mess everywhere.
