Pros & Cons
Pros
It is aesthetically pleasing and complements my home coffee station perfectly. Has a holder for the cappuccino dispenser. Easy to clean as well.
This is a superior grinder. Grind accuracy is noticeably better. The ability to set the grind based on time rather than weaker or stronger is so much better.
Cons
I'm so bummed by this product. Breville needs to make the parts available to fix this, but better yet, engineer the parts from stainless and not a plastic-metal hybrid. This is what they sent back to me stating they would not post my review.
It struggles to grind light roasts. It keeps clogging and is a pain in the neck to keep cleaning. The jamming sound is super irritating. The grinder getting jammed is a known issue with this make.
Two hundred bucks for less than two years is not a good value. Won’t pay $200 per grinder every six months. Oxo is much better art, $100 less!
Breville's coffee grinder is quiet but noisy. It has a rubber flap and is hard to position under the grind spout. The grinder does not do the trick for espresso grinds.
Highlights
Quality
The stainless steel burrs are sturdy and efficient.
We’ve been grinding our own beans for many years, this is the best grinder that’s easy to set up and adjust!
I will say do not use flavored beans with this the oils on it jams it up and the grind doesn’t come out nice.
It's like waking up to a barista-quality cup every morning.
Price
Well worth the investment if you are a casual esspresso (or like me, just too cheap to buy a commercial unit), this is a great unit.
Shipping
It arrived last night and we had coffee within an hour!
Competitiveness
Had looked at several others at similar price points but this seemed to have the best of what i was looking for; definitely won... Read More
