Pros

A terrific gift for the curious cook, and eater. A charming and iconoclastic foreword is provided by the british food and restaurant critic, giles coren. Each food type has multiple images including drawings and photos. The illustrations are awesome.

The content of this book is informative, and fun. The index is thorough-- the acknowledgements pages - need a magnifying glass. And lastly; the written material is extensive, and it's very interesting & informative.

This book is glossy, beautiful, high-quality. The cover artwork reminds me of primary color prints on the sides of the old fashioned and retro produce boxes. Be aware if you are using this with children though, there are several illustrations/ works o...  Read More

The only drawback is the small font of the text. The book itself could have been made a little bigger to accommodate this. Good for any age, perfect for doctor's offices to kill time.

This is a book that is now on my reference book shelves in my personal library. I know i will be returning to again and again. It's super cool, and i really would recommend it.

Cons

The book is great but the condition of the book received is not as described. In the kindle app (on my ipad) there is no way to enlarge the font.

I can read it but only just with a good pair of reading glasses on
