Wells writes with clarity and with a high literary standard.
I especially like the narrator's hopelessness. It ends in a believable way without being depressing. The reader feels his *, pain and ambiguity right along with him.

All of the martians die because they are not immune to the bacteria and disease that inhabits our earth. At first they seem very sluggish and weighed down. They look like tripods.

Even though technology and warfare is definitely more advanced than in the story are we as a human race ready to face that type of unknown or will we be running for our lives not knowing what is happening

The edition of war of the worlds i read also included an excerpt of map of the sky a novel by another author that draws inspiration from this one

I seen the movie and the book is a thousand times better i was blown away with how the writer discribed the aliens and the way when theyre in the house and the machine tentacle goes in searching that stuff was awesome also didnt expect the artillery man to be alive at but completely cought me off guard
