E. Cupp's novel is 1252 pages long. Every chapter could have been cut in half. I assume this is meant to setup a sequel, but i think a 1000 page book should be capable of standing on its own.
The pacing is agonizingly slow and the characters are boring.

These incoherent characters are manipulated for thrilling reading. These characters are all too virtuous, but i can see why that appeals to some.
It reads like an overgrown graduate mfa project that belongs in the author's closet. Gollancz should be ashamed of themselves.

It’s all meat and potatoes there is no self indulgent writing , it’s an absolute blast to read.
This book does have some darker elements, so please check triggers if you’re sensitive.
