Pros & Cons
Pros
The stormlight archive as a whole is incredible and awe inspiring. The audible file is long, very long and the narrators are very good.
Brandon sanderson never fails to stun with such expansive world-building and intriguing magic systems. Kaladin and dalinar are my most favored characters. Great work by brandon sanderson.
Is the language simpler than other novels? In a way some things are simpler. Expansive world building and well-paced. Characters in this book are all more engaging.
Cons
The way of kings is a decent 180 page story with 825 pages of padding in the form of endless stale and stodgy blithering that should have seen an editor’s razor. There's probably 800 pages of hemming and hawing and very little happening to move the pl... Read More

It really is mostly just bla bla bla with very little draw (at least till the end when it starts to pick up tempo a bit). But it is an unhealthy tale as it makes you wallow in a lot of mental wastewater. It's simple, contrived and just bad.
It reads like an overgrown graduate mfa project that belongs in the author's closet. These incoherent characters are manipulated for thrilling reading, as wow!
The way of kings is not worth the effort of wading through the mush to get at the meat. I doubt i have the fortitude to face the next volume, let alone the entire series. Sanderson also adds to the burden by not bothering to explain anything about the... Read More
