B the name is a bit misleading as nothing really happens with the well until very near the end!
I loved how a side effect of this was her budding friendship with oreseur the kandra, who becomes, quite literally, a talking dog.

The main characters spend time reflecting on what makes a good king for instance carefully planning their actions not only focusing on succeeding but trying to figure out what their actions might cause in the long run
