The story feels like a bite out of great big world where only a little corner of it matters to its main characters

The writing is immediate and engaging and while the story itself is mostly just a fun little bit of intrigue with seedy criminal undertones set in a dark nasty world the author doesnt forget to leave touches of emotion that remind us were reading about people or mostlypeople anyway
