Pros & Cons
Pros
Jon ronson is either nuts or courageous. A great job of getting close to the source of some major league nut-balls. Honesty is a most powerful tool, and ronson uses it well.
Jon ronson's 'them' is a companion to the doco series the secret rulers of the world. Ronson gets to know extremists of all sorts and conspiracy-theory believers. He also reveals secrets of the bilderberg group and the rather more sophomoric than sata... Read More
adventures with extremists puts a face on the conspiracy theorists that fascinate and frighten us. The * nations group in idaho is a perfect introduction to just how illogical and overboard we can all be.
It's fun and powerful. Very entertaining. Funny and insightful. Insightful.
Them is well-written, very well organised and staged. Most of it has just a great cinematic feeling that makes the reading truly enjoyable. Leaves the reader with much to ponder once the book is done.
Cons
Ron ronson is funny but also very annoying. Too much garbage clouds the facts, if there are any. To people that i think hold dangerous views and aren't as deserving of so much attention and respect.

The crazies are really crazy and there is no changing their minds, don't even try with the slightest hint.
Competitiveness

Strangely all the dialogue sounds like a neurotic british man’s script — even when the dialogue is coming from alex jones

Its also a weird book to read post911 given its detailing of certain extremists before 2001
