Pros & Cons
Pros
The luxury map mat is very comfortable to sleep on. When inflated, it acts as an air mattress. It is very comfy and cushioned.
Great combo. Pricy, but worth every penny. Camping gear is not disposable, its an investment and should last for many, many years.
The 3 version has a lot more support than my much thinner backpacking version. It is a bit heavy and bulky for long distance hikes but it might be worth it because of how comfortable it is.
Cons
The mattress stops and then drops down 3 inches and there is still 2 inches of my mattress sticking out. The replacement they sent has big bubbles/blisters each about the size of a large melon.

Price
Now i find that it is mouth inflation only.
Took about 5 years of very regular use for me though as i bought mine back in 2019 for $126.
For those shopping for a self-inflating pad - consider long and hard before before deciding to save a buck on a cheaper pad.
Packaging/appearance
This is definitely more for hiking and camping for the travel size and packing.
Competitiveness

I wanted to support products made in usa yes it costs more than china made.
In fact, the luxurymap sleeping pads may not even be manufactured with these new valves.
Also weighs less than other luxury sleeping pads we have had.
