Overall a good tool to have handy. Works as advertised. It's really convenient.

Cons

Thermaltake pc case died after about six weeks, just outside amazon's 30-day return policy. Amazon points at a business-hours only support phone number for thermaltake warranties. The catch is you have to contact customer service through their company... Read More

Mac users need to be very aware of the fact that if you eject one drive at the dock itself while the other is still in use, both drives will disconnect and you'll get the oh-so-lovely you didn't eject your drive properly errors.

I see others are reporting intermittent connectivity issues, i'm sure that this issue is the same. Worked fine for a few weeks. Connected to a linux server, same issue.

The thermaltake usb dock has not mate with thunderbolt or usb. This is the most inconsistent, unpredictable dock that i have ever used.

Great product to use with hard drives removed from old desk top computers to add additional storage to your current laptop or desktop

Works great, even recognizes disks i had trouble with.

Inserting another disk in the second slot causes the first to be ejected.

Cloning the same disk using esata was almost 7 hrs.

Price

If this would have been more expensive i possibly would have not of gotten it.

However, for the price, you can't go wrong.

It came in 2 days and does what i need.

I contacted amazon and a replacement was immediately sent.

I got it on time and in good condition.

Packaging/appearance

The package had been opened to see what was inside as if somebody was looking for another product around the same size.

Even though the item was described as "used", it came in original packaging in "new" condition.

Competitiveness

The older version had some difficulties if you mixed hdd sizes and/or brands in the same docking station.

I looked at a lot of options and settled on this one because i recognized the thermaltake name and trust the brand.
