Ive only tested it with hot coffee but really holds heat a long time many hours which leads me to believe it should do the same for cold drinks since the principle of holding temperature is the same

The exterior stays room temperature which is a good indication that the heatcool inside the unit is not transferring to the exterior of the mug so it insulates temperature well

The first few times i used it i screwed it down fairly tightly to avoid it leaking and i ended up really struggling to get it off

That wouldnt happen with this cup as the screw on lid and the closed position of the top makes it leakproof

Only drawbacks are that the vacuum seal is so tight that the top is difficult to unscrew by aged hands and the internal parts are difficult to reassemble after cleaning
