Great for renters who don't want to mess with the existing wiring in the apartment.
A hub is required for these switches to work with the echo devices.
Great product , works as advertised, updated got 2nd generation.
However, i highly suggest that you get an echo plus with the hub already built-in.

The price seems reasonable for what it does.

Tech support was fast and it was an easy fix.

Was about ready to give up but a little persistence and it worked.
Competitiveness
I use it with a smartthings button in my basement home theater to control the lighting - works perfectly.
Very easy set up with smartthings hub.
All is good, but it would be nice if battery state showed in smartthings app to do battery change before they stopped performing in switch.
I chose this type of switch because the wiring of my home does not match up with what is needed to install a zwave light switch.

Not certain how long the batteries will last so that’s an open issue

Additionally some towns may frown on having voice activated fireplaces especially with remote functionality

This is the way to go simply attach the switch to your existing switch and connect the device

All this device does is flip the switch on and off with voice commands from your smart home devices

However i realized that my echo device was not the “ echo plus“ version and did not have a hub so i had to get a smart things hub
