Once the batteries are somewhat depleted and can no longer achieve maximum brightness the led driver regulates light output so that the light continues to function without overly draining the batteries to the point where it has to shut off

I’ve used it for so many different tasks don’t think that your phone flashlight is good enough because it is far inferior than this light

The light is also “waterproof” meaning it has rubber rings that seal water from getting in the battery compartment
