After two weeks of experimenting with the zojirushi cooker we returned it and bought a tiger corporation jaja55u ws micom on amazon for less money and we are quite happy with it although this has the same issue with its lithium battery

One minor design flaw is that the electric cord doesnt automatically rewind back into the unit as in some other models
