I purchased this item as a christmas present but unfortunately despite putting batteries in it will not work

As with a lot of things they were better back in the day and are not as you remember them

From a cosmeticnostalgia point of view they are great to look at but once you get playing it is not the same i bought 2 one to use and one to keep sealed to go in my 80s room in hindsight i wish i just got the one and kept it sealed as after the 1st go the open one became redundant and it is unlikely i will use it again
