The handle is sharp and scratches my hand when grabbing it. After a few months it starts to brown on the bottom layer of rice that contacts the bottom of the pot, then progressively gets worse to nearly crispy brown.

This new cooker has a different size cooking pot from the older models so we can’t use the old pot as a spare
