Had an old one that lasted for 20 years that went through some abuse at the end of its life that should have killed any rice cooker and still managed to work for another year

Simply wash the rice grains fill it with water to your preferred stickiness if you want restaurant quality a good rule of thumb is to place your hand palmside flat on the rice and if the water level reaches the back of your knuckles youre good and then place the pot into the cooker close the lid and press the button thats it
