Pros & Cons
Pros
I bought this 8 years ago because my mom has similar tiger brand that's older than me, i'm 42 yrs old and her is still working! Tiger one-switch is the classic, extremely simple-to-use and highly durable japanese rice cooker. Manual in eng/j, packed i... Read More
Rice is such a simple food medium yet no one outside of asia can figure out how to keep rice warm without spoiling it. I love that the cord retracts and stores within itself at the bottom (see pic) only one minor complain is the lid no longer snap in ... Read More
It's a fabulous addition to a gourmet or a single persons kitchen. It’s really easy to setup and clean. Highly recommend for small family.
Cons
When the rice starts cooking, steam comes up and covers the whole top of the outer lid. After only 3 months of use (once a week typically) it no longer cooks the rice. The steam also escapes around the sides of the pot and cover the lid.
Highlights
Quality
The retractable cord, the build quality and the rice it produces are all a++.
Our last tiger rice cooker lasted over 20 years it is an excellent product and the rice turns out perfect every single time you make it.
For cook rice, but the cover not even, the rice i cooked was not good!
Don’t like how you have to kinda slam cover always doesn’t close good
Price
I have historically used aroma rice cookers as they are inexpensive and do the job of making rice.
(i'd even spen $250 for it, for it would still be worth it)
Expensive but lasts about 7 years with daily use.
Shipping
The delivery was simple and on time so far no problems.
We received our new one and made rice the first night and perfection!
Cooks quickly and i leave the unit on (with rice) for one day so i have hot rice whenever i want it.
Competitiveness
I haven’t found anything to rival that perfect rice cooker in 35 years.

Then i bought another brand (aroma) and it did not make good rice whatsoever, despite the raving reviews.
Compared with the one from costco, the inner pot is more durable.

The reason we’d usually have to replace is only because of the lid… we have lots of kids frequent our house and they tend to close it hard or let it slam down
