The steel modern looking ones are from japan. The plastic floral white ones are parts from japan but assembled in china. Tastes great, quiet, very dependable. I’m very satisfied with my purchase.
Boils quick and has a lot of functionality. There's a temperature probe that lets you see the temp of the water you pour in. Pour 4qt of water, boil water for half an hour, after the drop will be issued to remind you.
The 3 liter model is just right for me. It’s a nice compact size. The only thing i may not like is the its design with 3l model i got, it came with fat and short, i am unable to put my glass bottle under the water spout.
Cons
Plastic coating inside dispenser. When selecting a temperature, the water comes completely to a boil (208 degrees), which totally defeats the purpose of having a selectable temperature.

Worth buying the design is very human quality is also very good
The water level is never truly reflected by the gauge and sometimes just stays at the full level.
With the water heater at 208 degrees fahrenheit the entire outside of the appliance remains warm where i can keep my hand on it.
Price
Wish the price is a bit cheaper.

I had received this item before a shipping date on the receipt.
Packaging/appearance
There is also a display to see how much water is left in the kettle.
Bought this unit damaged packaging but new condition.
Zero rating on the packaging department but a great item none the less.
Competitiveness
I bought this hot water dispenser to replace a 20-year-old zojirushi which finally gave up the ghost.
Sometimes you want to use a descaler but aside from that its such an easy one push button for hot water whenever u need it.

Coffee water heater before for tea but it was small and after 2 or 3 pours we had to refill the tank
