They are waterproof and slip resistant. The only con is that they do get scuffed easily, so having a suede and nubuck cleaner handy is a plus. The tims are also much roomier.

The toe box is very spacious and my toes can move around freely. The heel is narrow, which makes the boots difficult to put on at first, but the leather loosens over time. The steal toe protects the foot if you get stepped on.
