Pros
Almost perfect to strap an iphone to a a backpack shoulder strap. Fastens securely onto the messenger bag strap so when wearing the bag your cell phone is front and center along with a pair of earbuds. Keeps my phone handy & protected.
The timbuk 2 case fastens easily to the strap of my hand bag or fastens onto my back pack. The velcro is very formidable and lasts. It also has the ability to fasten on to a leather belt.
The large 3-way accessory case perfectly fits my moto x4 snugly while in a slim case. Fit iphone 6 great (medium) with a bulky-ish case even. Fits my iphone 7 plus perfectly with apple silicon case. Great case for my samsung galaxy 5.
The unicorn beetle series premiumslim hybrid protective case / bumper (frost/black) fits my iphone 7 with an otter box perfectly. Fits my iphone 6 with spigen case well and has a small pocket that holds my magnetic clip on sunglasses.
It has a smaller footprint, fits nicely on my belt (horizontally - which i find more comfortable) and the phone fits in it snuggly. Phone fits great in the soft lining.
Cons
Sides are elastic with a centimeter hole at the top and bottom. A lot of the velcro is exposed and will get caught on clothing. The velcro flap has two slits on the top so that its only really attached by a few threads.

Slightly expensive but the quality and attributes are worth it.

I don't expect to be able to put much in the front pocket with the phone in there except maybe a credit card or bus pass.
Packaging/appearance
The packaging does say this would fit the iphone 6+ so i'm glad it fits my nexus 6p with case.
I also took a pic of my iphone and an ipod touch with case fitting inside the timbuk2 accessory case.
Competitiveness
I already have a timbuk2 command messenger bag, and this matches perfectly with it.
This is the 3rd timbuk2 case i has purchased to hold my iphones on my backpack and camelback (for cycling-road & mountain).
No deductions for price, as the less expensive competitors don't offer all of the same accoutrements that this offers.

There are two small slits at the top of the case that work well for phones with jacks off center but they are useless for the new iphone 7 integrated jack in the middle

Needed a reliable and easy way to carry and access my phone while mountain biking since most mtb clothing doesnt have pockets good for phones for understandable reasons and constantly taking your pack off to check your phone at confusing or poorly marked trail systems or trail systems with a lot of intersections can be a real pain

Both pockets are covered by the flap when the pouch is closed and there are slits in the flap up top to let the cord of your earbuds through
