Pros & Cons
Pros
The timbuk2 backpack is a versatile and comfortable commuting bag. The straps and vented back design are comfortable and create plenty of air flow to manage heat and sweat. The backpack can also be used as a shoe bag.
The water bottle pockets are the best i have ever used by far. They very securely hold most water bottles without issue. At the same time they hold nalgenes and even my 16 oz kleancanteen quite snugly.
Cons
It easily gets scratched up and starts looking off color. Starts to crack and split after a while. It’s really * after only a month or so.

Competitiveness
Holds my large or small u-lock easily as well.
Also, the side pockets are large enough to allow you to carry a u-lock, which is well-thought out.
I'm a big guy 6'4'' 250lbs, doesn't look like a small pack on a big guy.

This is obviously a well crafted backpack but its always good to consider drawbacks before deciding so i will share some things i wish i knew regarding size material durabilityalso a few things that exceeded my expectationsfirst off the backpack is advertised on amazon and other sites as 42l yet timbuk2 advertises it as a 30l bag on their site

The bag is 30l when the expansion zippers are closed and 42l or 40l as mentioned on timbuk2s video
