Pros
Timbuk 2 is an iconic bag manufacturer in the northern california area. I have to tell you this roller bag exceeded my expectations. Great bag and great use of storage. If i ever had to check the bag it should be pretty easy to spot on a carousel.
The timbuk2 fits me perfectly and is exactly what i wanted. The bag is soft sided but built on a rigid polymer half shell. Interior pack space is larger, you get the actual 20”.
Front pocket is perfect for storing chargers, personal items, etc. The shoe pocket is nice for liquids and a pair of sunglasses or flip flops. The zipper on the top lets me change very easily in a bathroom.
Love the clamshell design with the dual access panel. Dual access is a game changer. Clamshell functionality is great. Made it easier for me to clothe myself.
If you are okay with a two-wheeler, this is probably the best carry on. It is carry-on compliant as of november 2016. Will fit in most delta overhead spaces.

The bag is supposed to be super sturdy, but the corners are not sufficiently protected. They want you to send the bag to them (at your expense) so they can take a look and tell you whether or not they will charge you for the fix. This despite the bag'... Read More

It is so well made and the features are many as has been detailed in other reviews.
It is well thought-out and solidly built.
B/c it is an authorized reseller, when the handle started to become unreliable, i called timbuk2.
Literally nothing — not even a zipper pull — has broken on my bag in all this use.
Price
I very good blend of current day features without a designer price.
Almost bought the amazon basics for under $100 bucks, but its a bit too stripped down.
The one for my wife came in at over $300.
Shipping
I arrived in brazil and the suitcase was wet from rain in miami and all of my clothes were wet inside the suitcase.
Just took this on a week-long trip in preparation for a much longer trip later.
They sent a new handle, got it in 2 days during covid delays, and it's like brand new.
Packaging/appearance
The design is great, in that you can open it wide for packing, and the mesh zippered covers over each side keep everything in place.

I took it out of the box, opened it up and could fit my entire wordwobe for a year in there.

The material stretches a lot so i can basically always stuff things in this bag although if im really squishing stuff in the bag starts to look lumpy ie dirty clothes bag at the end of a trip isnt neatly folded and sometimes it shows depending on how much effort i want to put into it

Cons the stretchy material seems to make the top small pocket awkward to use so i rarely use it

The material on the top of the bag does seem to show scratches scuffs marks very easily

I have noticed other people with the same bag but significantly more scuffed up than mine with long chalk like looking marks most of the way down the bag

I wasnt sure what these were but after putting it into a few tighter spaces in overhead bins it fits fine in the bins but sometimes the hinges make the bin opening smaller in some places i realized its the hinges on these bins that scrapes the bag
