It is a thick mesh over foam rubber that provides essentially no ventilation.

The zipper doesn't start all the way to the side, so when you try to take out your laptop in a swift motion, it gets stuck.

For some reason, i like both zips to be at the top of the pack when it's fully closed, so maybe i have to adjust, but i shouldn't have to!
