But you can get tiny lockable s clips by itze which fit inside the clip such that without unlocking it it wont open

Likewise when sleeping i would then use a bigger sclip connecting the backpack with a grommet of the tarp so again no runby thieves

If it falls from the side and if the pack is submerged then its not waterproof
