The secondary pocket on this bag is fairly large

The three pockets at the front of the bag are very useful the long one i use for ac adapters and phone chargers and the fleecelined small one for the phone and wallet

The green one uses a faux leather material for the three front pockets which does not match the material for the rest of the bag

The front and back of that compartment are more than sufficiently padded but the sides are not

So if something hard hits your bag from the side there is nothing between that and the computer but the fabric of the bag

Cons• doesnt fit all 15 laptops due to its cradle preventing your laptop from making contact to the bottom of the backpack

So its basically about 2 from the bottom of the backpack and its just nothing in between
