Pros & Cons
Pros
Was able to get this on sale after eyeing it up for a couple weeks and diligent research. Has been terrific. The build quality is on point and the colors available are great. Overall, this bag is pretty good.
Aesthetically this backpack is great. It just looks really nice and not like other backpacks--spacious.
The opposite area from the laptop has lots of excellently organized pockets for pens, sunglasses, etc. The lanyard that attaches to your keys making it easy to fish out is smart. I also wish there was an exterior mesh pocket for keys with a key attach... Read More
The fabrics, stitching, and zippers are all great quality. The tan color looks great. It is comfortable and seems well made.
Cons
The straps on the division have reasonably good padding, but are weirdly-shaped and way too short. Even if i were to overlook everything else, i just can't stand putting it on my back. The shoulder straps are so short that the chest strap hit me right... Read More
Msrp on the timbuk2 division backpack is $109, but i wouldn't pay anywhere near that for this backpack. The outermost front pocket is useful for larger, flat items only. The laptop compartment is the only perfect part of the bag.
Highlights
Quality
The build quality is on point and the colors available are great.
I absolutely love the quality, design, and practicality of their messenger bags.
Along with the bottle holder which actually only holds small slim cans not water bottles.
Price
Price isn't supposed to be a factor in our reviews because it varies so much over time, but the current price of this bag seems high to me.
Packaging/appearance
I honestly don't see any wear and tear on the bag.
Competitiveness
A q-tip dabbed in olive oil did the trick.
As with all timbuk2 products, the fabrics, stitching, and zippers are all great quality.
This won’t be my last purchase from timbuk2.
