Really happy with the quality design and look of this bag.
Build quality is excellent and it will definitely last for a while.
I have two quibbles with the bag.
I'd expect higher quality zippers for the price of this bag but again, not a major issue.

Competitiveness
It is about a 30l bag but it is slim and longish, once again, making it easy to slide under the seat.
This was my daily carry till i replaced it with a timbuk2 messenger bag.
If you are a student or someone who travels frequently and don't have a timbuk2 bag, you are living life all wrong.
I was in desperate need to replace my northface backpack after 6 years of considerable use.

Very few usage signs like a few threads near the top pocket and at the laptop compartment

Nothing has ever broken on it the only sign of its age is a tiny little fabric fray on the top where i snagged it on a thorny bush while hiking

I do think it would be rather difficult to fit a larger phone such as an iphone plus or similar size phone in that pocket

I have never put sunglasses in there but the velvet interior would protect the lenses from scratching

I will point out that if the pouch below it is especially full it can be difficult to slide the phone in but not impossible

Along the same lines i sometimes have to fight with the straps to get access to the laptop section

Second is that it could use some padding on the bottom to protect the contents when setting the bag down and maybe this would also fix the structure issue
