Certainly pro systems offer more functions adjustments and better video quality but its important to note that if you are not in the pro cctv business as i was for decades you might not know that you shouldnt expect broadcast tv quality much of what security cameras do to get you images in dark and otherwise tricky situations require taking a hit on picture quality

Thats fine you wouldnt have gotten a picture of the jerk at all if youd tried to maintain perfect quality were not making a movie here

Bottom line you have to have different expectations in security and the tradeoffs in image quality are there for a purpose

I turned the whole kaboodle on and it configured the hard drive all by its little self in a suspiciously short amount of time but hey it worked

And all the cams were displayed on the quad screen without me having to mess with setup

The nvr sends power up the cat5 so you dont need a power supply at the camera and you get four pretty nice 50 foot cat 5 cables in the box
