Pros
Laptop is now as responsive as my newer / more powerful macbook pro and feels like an entirely different laptop. It works fine as far as i can tell. I'm super happy.
Upgrade with the original 4gb ram on mbp 2011 without any issue. Yes the upgrade was completed using this new 8 gb ram. Perfect on a macbook pro-mid-2012.
Apple macbook air and macbook pro can be upgraded to a timetek ssd. You can download and install the macos at apple. Maco.
Cons
Lasted 2 weeks and died. Ssd was not recognized by my macbook pro mid 2014.

Quality
Overall very satisfied with the product and recommend it to anyone who is looking to upgrade to a non-apple ssd.
Installed in minutes and am very pleased with the result.
After talking with the support i realized that i ordered the wrong item for my mac.
5) replace the ssd with this product.
Price
It was so easy to install and the price was so much cheaper than buying it from apple.
Only if price was a bit lower, still decent product.
If you're doing photography, videography a 16gig is enough.
Obviously the repair cost was considerably more than i expected but at least i have my laptop back.
Shipping
Work really well and fast with my old imac 27” late 2015 model 17.
Easy to install and very fast delivery.
Packaging/appearance
Now the timetec was detected, and i erased/formatted it.
Then i inserted the usb macos monterey installer and installed it on the timetec.
So, i reinstalled the timetec 512gb and booted off the macos catalina hdd through usb.
Competitiveness
I installed 2x8gb modules in a mid-2012 macbook pro alongside an inexpensive 500gb ssd.
I originally bought an adapter to use a third party nvme in my mac pro trashcan with no luck.
I purchased a used 2014 macbook air (128gb ssd) several months ago knowing that i will eventually upgrade the ssd to at least 512gb.
Note: i initially saw the 1tb unit at amazon, but later it was no longer available.
