I saw the wiringdiagram with the product photo but the full implication of combining tipring together didnt hit me until things werent working

It turns out that my application flexradio 6400 uses the 1834 mini jack as a pseudobalanced input with ring attached to the analog ground

In essence my micsignals were all shorted to ground and nothing made it into my flexradio 6400

I opened up the 1834 mini end first but all three wires redring whitetip braidshield were all separate and correctly attached to tipringsleeve

So i then opened up the xlr end and found1 a wire jumper from pin 1 to 3
