Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

The heads are easy to change, the handles are slightly sticky so it's easy to grip and hang on to and the operation is smooth. Comes with a handy storage case. The die is smooth and no sharp edges and doesn't take too much grip to cycle through.

It comes with several different size crimp heads to do most wiring jobs. There is a ratchet kick out lever that can be used to retract the jaws mid *. Used to create a wiring harness for auxiliary light installation on my jeep.

This crimper is exactly what you need for wire terminals with heat-shrink insulation. No tearing of the heat shrink casing, firm solid crimp on the wires. Great tool for wire heat shrink connectors of all types.

Easily makes solid crimp every time. Crimped perfectly and released properly when crimp was finished. Makes crimping a breeze.

Cons

The crimp jaws are misaligned, and are made from 4 layers of stamped steel. Used twice and one of the jaw inserts fell out.

Quality

I can hold the wire with one hand and crimp the connector with the other.

Good on line description, good price, on time delivery, great product

Re ice crimping tool, especially with the heat shrinking type of connectors.

Not as good of quality as the expensive brand made by anchor but good enough for amateur boat mechanics (shade trees) like myself.

Competitiveness

I own a small business dealing with a ton of 12vdc wiring.

So much easier and effective than cheaper standard crimping tools.

Crimping heat-shrink fittings needs a specific tool - this one.
