Initially i bought it hoping that it could boost the uploaddownload speed between my modem and ps3 console unfortunately it was not able to do that but it was able to make my fluctuating internet connection much more solid in other words less lag on updown internet connection equals better voice quality so you hear each other better moving around in games is not stuttered or slow anymore i am definitely going to buy another 3 ft cable and i highly recommend this product as an upgrade from your current ethernet cable and if y
