It even works mounted in behind the remote repeater on the back of my sony sound bar so i can hide the eye behind that and it is not even visible

I wanted to put the arris box in side a cabinet with a solid door and this particular gateway did not have an optional ir sensor

Very short range though with a major delay you have to almost press and hold buttons to change the channel

The only downside is that most of the times theres beam interference or maybe it doesnt transmit correctly so i have to press a button 34 times till the tv actually responds

Had tried another product that forced you to put the ir transmitter side actually right on the components ir eye

This did not work at all so i looked for something that would transmit the signal by just placing it in front of the component

Unfortunately my tv only had a nonpowered service usb port so it would never have worked
