They have done away with the flimsy hinges that plagued the previous version of this product.
Even though it is not that noticeable, you are able to feel a slight difference between both sides of the console with the case on.

Would give it 5 but it cane with one of the side hinges on the top cover bent but nothing too serious

I ordered two of these one of which arrived with one of the hinges between the top and bottom broken off

The hinges on the other case were bent pretty badly but i figured they could easily be bent back into place since theyre made of plastic

Even though these pieces have somehow broke the actual cover still stays in place

However the cover for the bottom portion has a small dent on the upper right corner that does not allow the case to fully snap onto the 3ds xl

As stated by a few others before most of the negative reviews must come from the old version of the case
