I am using the converter for my original xbox, ps2, and xbox 360 as my 4k tv does not have any component inputs.

This is handy if you have older video game systems xbox wii etc that at best had component video output but you have a newer tv that no longer supports it and is hdmi only

Not all tvs have component connectors on them

They may have only have composite but that makes the picture look blurry and just pain horrible
