The dock uses some exposed pads on the back of the nintendo and works like a charm.
I plugged it in, laid it down and it slid right in place with no issues.
Will not fit and need to remove it for the charge dock to work.
We couldn't charge with a standard plug any more because our little guy managed to wear it out / bend the tiny pins.

I was kinda skeptical when reading some of the reviews about their ds popping up and not charging
