The silicone does trap odor (like dishwashing detergent) the open back makes it slightly hard to clean, but it's nothing that a little scrubbing brush can't help with. They are easy to clear and durable!

Every one of the dozens we have are chewed. The durability is nonexistent. This pacifier was horrid!
