They are for attaching the suspenders to pants with buttons around the waist line or sewn into the waist line a package of six buttons comes with the suspenders

If your pants dont have buttons for suspenders or you dont sew them into your pants yourself the leather straps wont be used

I didn’t get what the picture showed yes it’s the two colors but instead of it being blue with a red stripe it was red with a blue stripe

It would have been best if the clips and anywhere metal was located was even gold plated or solid silver or stainless steel
